One year ago on this day my friends had their first child. Shortly after being born, however, their beautiful baby girl passed away. The parents didn't have much time with her, and for the last year their hearts have ached and cried out.
A few months ago, they found out that they were pregnant. It was a happy moment, for these deserving parents thought they were going to have a baby to bring home and love in nine months.
Well a few days ago they found out that this wasn't the case. During an ultrasound they couldn't find the baby's heartbeat. She had a miscarriage at 19 weeks pregnant.
Now today she is having surgery to remove the baby. To make matters worse, this is their daughter's first birthday in heaven. The baby will be joining his/her sister in heaven.
My heart aches for them, for they are such deserving parents. I don't know how they can stay withstand all these times of heartbreak. Both have suffered numerous losses in the past, many of which were near and dear to them. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this hard time.
Life is a beautiful thing. Don't take it for granted. Hug your little ones while you can, because for some life can be short <3
